There is something special about bread. The flavor of a good loaf or roll, the texture of the soft crumb contrasting with the crispness of the crust, is almost a sensual experience. The obvious explanation for bread’s importance is that it is for many the single essential food. In some countries for example France or Italy, bread is the most popular of the carbohydrates, eaten with every meal and in many cases with every course.
Nowadays there is a huge choice of breads both from small bakeries and from large factories sold in the supermarkets. We can not and do not want to compete with factory bread and specialize on some few types of bread which are not readily available in Bali such as country style breads, rye breads, sour dough breads and some others salty, sour and also sweet.
